Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers with an interest in Colorado history and state government, who enjoy working with the public, to lead tours, staff the gift desk, museum and dome observation area, and provide visitors with concierge type services. Summer Guide Opportunities

Each summer, college students are eligible to apply for a full-time temporary position as a Capitol guide. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Colorado history and state government and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.  Capitol guides are responsible for leading capitol tours, staffing the gift desk, capitol museum and dome observation area, and providing visitors with concierge-type services.  

Work Study Opportunities for MSUD and UCD Students

NOW HIRING!  Eligible work-study applicants with an interest in Colorado history and state government who enjoy working with the public are encouraged to apply for a work-study position at the Capitol. Capitol guides are responsible for leading tours, staffing the gift desk, museum, and dome observation area, providing visitors with concierge type services, and some light clerical work.
