access to electric motor vehicles by allowing manufacturers to sell their
own electric motor vehicles directly to consumers.   An electric motor
vehicle is a vehicle that can operate entirely on electric power.

SB20-151 - Committee Discussion Only

Senators Tate and Rodriguez, co-prime sponsors,
introduced Senate Bill 20-151, concerning the administration of the Regional
Transportation District (RTD).  
The bill modifies
the act establishing the district, including adding factors that must be
considered when changing services and fees; prohibiting discrimination
against people with disabilities; authorizing the Transportation Legislation
Review Committee to review compliance with the law; adding governor appointees
and the state treasuerer and director of the Department of Transportation
to the board; creating contribution limits for board of director candidates;
increasing the number of meetings for the board; allowing for commercial
and retail services at facilities; requiring specific audits of RTD be
completed by the Office of the State Auditor; and whistle blower protections
to certain employees and contractors. A handout was provided (Attachment
F).
