Senator Hill, chair, called the meeting to order. Senator Priola, sponsor, presented Senate Bill 17-200 which was on the table for action only. The bill concerns raising academic excellence in the public schools by distributing up to one percent of public school funding based on a competitive determination of academic excellence among peer school districts. Senator Priola distributed amendments L.001 (Attachment A), L.007 (Attachment B), and L.004 (Attachment C), and explained the amendments. Committee discussion ensued.
